Location: Investing.com - The dollar slipped lower against the other major currencies on Thursday, after data showed that U.S. jobless claims rose to a four-week high last week and as investors awaited the release of additional U.S. economic reports later in the day. USD/JPY gained 0.30% to 113.81. The U.S. Department of Labor said the number of individuals filing for initial jobless benefits in the week ending February 27 increased by 6,000 to 278,000 from the previous week’s total of 272,000. Analysts expected jobless claims to fall by 1,000 to 271,000 last week. EUR/USD rose 0.33% to 1.0904.
